Inkwell is a local comic and book reader. It reads files stored on your device and keeps all data on your device. It does not connect to the internet, does not create accounts, and does not transmit any information to any server.

Data We Collect

We collect no personal data. Inkwell does not collect, store, or transmit:

Storage Permission

Inkwell requests the All Files Access permission (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE) so it can scan folders you choose and open comic files in formats such as CBR, CBZ, PDF, and EPUB.

This permission is used exclusively to read the files you explicitly add to your library. Inkwell never uploads, modifies, or shares your files.

Local Storage

Inkwell stores the following data on your device only:

None of this data ever leaves your device.

Crash Reports

If the app crashes, a log file is saved locally in the app's private storage. This file is only sent if you choose to use the Report a Bug feature in Settings, which opens your email app with the crash log attached. No data is sent automatically. You review the email before sending it.

Third-Party Services

Inkwell does not integrate any third-party SDKs for analytics, advertising, or crash reporting. There are no third-party services that receive your data.

Children's Privacy

Inkwell does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. Because Inkwell collects no personal data from anyone, it is safe for all ages.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date. Material changes will be noted in the app's Play Store release notes.
